John was appointed a Partner of the Horizon Accounting Group in July 2013 having originally started with Horizon as a trainee accountant in 2000.  He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in accounting and electronic commerce after graduating in 2004 from the University of Southern Queensland.

He obtained his Chartered Accountant (CA) status in 2007 and is also recognised by The Taxation Institute as a Chartered Tax Advisor.  John has over twenty years of experience in taxation, business services, audit and other areas of public practice.

John has extensive experience in advising a broad range of clients including small to medium family enterprises and high net worth individuals.  John’s professional approach to his clients is only surpassed by his attention to detail and fact.

John is married to Sara and a proud father of three young children.  Outside of work he enjoys playing sport and spends time assisting community organisations.
